G'day mate, Been thinking a lot about you, and although i'm heading to Melbourne this weekend to see my daughter and grandkids and will be tied up, I wish there'd been enough time to make it out to Snake Valley to share a bottle of red with you. Hopefully, next time. Take care. Regards Alan

G'day Derek, Hope things are working out well with you mate, and you are not out melting on the bowling green. I've just come back from seeing my urologist, who advised me that my PSA is now down to 0.8 from 5.7 which he says is fantastic. He said if you get that result in the long term it's good, but to get that after 7mths is even better. I still have a few other issues that need to be addressed, but hope and pray that things will work out OK. Hope that you are enjoying the family and absorbing all the love that you no doubt deserve. Kindest regards Alan
G'day Derek, Hope you are keeping well mate. Just wanted to share a bit of good news with you. Today I had to go and see my urologist again, following my last blood test as it's now been 5mths since I had the brachyseed therapy. His words were "Just prior to your procedure your PSA was 5.7, it's now down to 1.1, thats fantastic". That news gave me a big lift, so just wanted to share it with you. There are still a number of side problems associated with it all, as you'd be aware, but I can live with that. Take care, Kind regards Alan
Hi Derek,Just thought i'd touch base to see how you are going? Hopefully you are well, and managing to get in a bit of time on the Gazzelle. I know the weather has not been the best lately and i'm a fair weather flyer and prefer to go up early in the morning when the air is smooth. Having said that, i've not even done that for so long I can't even remember. I must catch up with young Darren Masters to see how he's coping. It's sad when your marriage falls apart at the seams and I know what hardship one goes through. I remember it well from my own experience. I thought I was happily married for 23yrs and worked all the hours god gave to provide a a nice home for the family. In hindsight that may have been the problem, I should have worked less hours so my wife and I could spend more quality time together, it's so important. I had a beautiful 6 bedroom house with a lovely japanese garden I spent so long building, only to walk away with $1860 and a bit of furniture to show for all my effort. The solicitors made an absolute motza out of us as my wife would'nt settle. It's just so sad to see all you've worked for to go in legal expenses and you never seem to get back on your feet because you're age is often against you. If it has to happen it would be wonderful if things could be split down the middle and simply walk away to start again, but solicitors generally engineer it so that dos'nt happen while they strip you of just about all you've got. Anyway there are so many stories like that, and now I even cook dinner for her and her new husband if they visit Sydney to see our son. What a waste! I won't go on, because if you ever try to advise people in the same situation, they don't listen Darren seems such a nice guy, i'll give him a call to at least offer a sympathetic ear if he needs one. I'm not too bad at the moment and have just been for more ct scans and x-rays to chech whether any of the radiactive seed have got away in the bllod-dtrem which could end up in the lung and to make sure it's not gone anywhere else. I wont know till my next appointment in mid August, so keep your fingers crossed for me. I've got a bit involved with The Never Ending Story on the forums, which sometimes is very funny, but sometimes gets a bit silly. I love reading about some of the trip reports which are so well reported with great photo's. They make me a bit envious sometimes, but are great to read. Take care mate and I hope to hear from you when you get the opportunity to reply. Rgds Alan
